Research Supporting the School-Wide Use of The Bully Free Classroom

After 180 Days of Implementation (200 Middle School Students)

  • Decrease in aggressive occurrences
    • From 36 students to 7 students
  • Reduction in suspensions as a result of aggressive behavior
    • 13 students to 3 students
  • School attendance up by 6.8%
  • Number of bullied students decreased
    • 44.8% to 20.2%
  • Number of students who believed they have avenues to report bullying increased
    • 22.6% to 74.6%
  • Decrease in students feeling that bullies exist in school
    • 74.6% to 38.9%
  • Improved academic performance
    • 10% improvement in test scores
